For Faster Dissolution Rate

Dissolution test for Tablets & Capsules is being emphasized for many of products. Even I.P. in its latest edition has introduced it in Tablets & Capsules.

Sterosol offers a handy tool to affect rate of dissolution, when included in formulation. It enhances rate of dissolution of many medicament from intricate mix of excipients of diverse composition and compaction. Examples are tablets of Chlorpropamide, Digitoxin, Digoxin and Tolbutamide etc.

The water acceptability of particle is increased thereby diffusion through the medium in vitro or  vivo is smoothened to reflect in faster and sustained availability of the drug substance in the test medium. Sterosol eventually helps in the Content Uniformity test too. By nature it aids in extracting out the complete drug substance from the matrix of the tablet and thereby whole of drug substance is available in the test medium. For example, Tablets of Chlorpheniramine, Chlorpromazine, Diazepam, Folic Acid, Salbutamol, Perdnisolone and host other.

When all other factors like: Binders, Granule Size, Percentage of Moisture etc. are controlled and problem of jamming and picking of punches persists, Sterosol does away with the problems. Such a case is reported in Ethambutol, Ibuprofen Compression.

Sterosol is Non-Toxic and Non- Hygroscopic and chemically Magnesium-Oxyethylene-Silicate.
